The FIS2025 General Surgery Focus Issues Academic Forum was grandly held in Nanjing, the ancient capital of six dynasties, from April 11th to 13th, 2025. This forum was jointly hosted by the Journal of the Chinese Medical Association, the Organizing Committee of the China General Surgery Focus Issues Academic Forum, and the English Edition of the Chinese Medical Journal. Themed "Focusing on the Cutting Edge, Standardizing Improvement, Innovative Development, and Win-Win Cooperation," it invited more than 450 general surgery experts and scholars to exchange ideas and discuss academic topics, aiming to improve the clinical diagnosis and treatment level and research capabilities of general surgery physicians nationwide and promote the integrated development of multiple disciplines. Xinguangwei Medical was invited to participate deeply in this conference.
On the afternoon of April 11th, the launching ceremony for the compilation of the "Expert Consensus on the Application of Laparoscopic-Choledochoscopic Combined Biliary Surgery" (hereinafter referred to as the "Expert Consensus") was held at a sub-venue.
Professor Zhang Zhongtao from Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University; Professor Quan Zhiwei from Xinhua Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine; Deputy Chief Editor of the English Edition of the Chinese Medical Journal Professor Hao Xiuyuan, the editor-in-chief; Professor Li Xun from the First Affiliated Hospital of Lanzhou University; Professor Guo Wei from Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University; Professor Bian Dapeng from Peking University First Hospital; Professor Zhu Jiegao from Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University; and other industry leaders gathered together to conduct in-depth exchanges and discussions on the application of combined dual-scope technology in biliary surgery, striving to formulate a scientific and rigorous "China plan" through the joint efforts of top national experts, providing clear and authoritative guidance for clinical practice.

In laparoscopic choledochotomy and biliary exploration, the combined use of laparoscopy and choledochoscopy can significantly improve the accuracy and therapeutic effect of the surgery, enabling direct visualization and therapeutic manipulation within the biliary tract. During the surgery, laparoscopy first establishes an intra-abdominal observation channel, providing a clear intra-abdominal field of vision to assist in locating the common bile duct; then, the choledochoscope enters the bile duct through the laparoscopic access port or a dedicated channel, using its slender body to reach deep into the bile duct branches for precise exploration of the location and size of stones and lesions on the bile duct wall. The synergistic operation enables therapeutic procedures such as stone removal, stricture dilation, and biopsy, avoiding the large incision trauma of traditional open surgery, significantly reducing the residual stone rate. Patients experience less postoperative pain and faster recovery, achieving a "1+1>2" effect.
Breakthrough research and development of new-generation endoscopy products is gradually improving the ability to handle complex intrahepatic lesions. As a core supporting unit for the launching ceremony of the "Expert Consensus," Xinguangwei Medical provides strong product capabilities as technical support; its 4K Medical Endoscopy Camera System Full 4K chain imaging provides doctors with surgical images that are delicate, rich in detail, and with accurate color reproduction, greatly improving surgical precision. Xinguangwei’s Choledochoscope products also perform exceptionally well. Using advanced imaging technology and an ultra-fine structural design, it has good flexibility and maneuverability, capable of easily entering the complex biliary system of the human body. Even in narrow bile ducts, it can clearly display the lesion, enabling comprehensive observation and diagnosis, and improving surgical efficiency.
The combined application of laparoscopy and choledochoscopy, through complementary advantages, has become the gold standard for minimally invasive treatment of common bile duct diseases. With the advancement of the "Expert Consensus" compilation, the laparoscopic-choledochoscopic combined dual-scope technology will accelerate its standardized popularization. Xinguangwei Medical will continue to focus on the clinic, providing highly adaptable endoscopy solutions to empower surgical innovation, promote industry technological progress, and bring more minimally invasive and safer treatment options to patients worldwide.
