From March 7th to 8th, 2025, the "Suzhou Medical Association General Surgery Branch's Minimally Invasive Technology Academic Conference on Colorectal Membrane Structure and Endoscopic Light Fiber Navigation - Suzhou Station," hosted by the Suzhou Medical Association General Surgery Branch and undertaken by the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University and Zhejiang Cancer Hospital, was successfully held in Suzhou. This conference focused on the cutting-edge minimally invasive technologies and clinical research progress in colorectal diseases, bringing together numerous experts in the field. On March 7th, the main hospital of the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University became a leading site for surgical live streaming. In the morning session, Professor Ju Haixing from Zhejiang Cancer Hospital and Professor Zhou Xiaojun from the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University jointly presented a surgical demonstration of low anterior resection (LAR) for rectal cancer. With their superb surgical skills and rich clinical experience, the two professors meticulously handled every step of the surgery, clearly demonstrating the difficulties and key points. In the afternoon, Professor He Songbing from the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University performed a surgical demonstration of radical resection of right hemicolon cancer. Through the 4K ultra-high-definition live stream, participants not only visually learned the advanced surgical process but also gained a deeper understanding of the advantages and application techniques of minimally invasive technology in the treatment of colorectal cancer.

On March 8th, the conference opened with opening remarks from Professor Tan Qiusheng, Secretary-General of the Suzhou Medical Association; Professor Qin Lei from the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University; and Dr. Chen Dong, General Manager of Xinguangwei Medical. They extended a warm welcome to the attendees and emphasized the importance of this academic exchange in promoting the development of minimally invasive technology for colorectal membrane structures.
In the academic report session, Professor Ju Haixing from Zhejiang Cancer Hospital presented "Clinical Research on BLARCC in Right Hemicolectomy," sharing the latest clinical research findings; Professor Feng Yifei from the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University discussed "Exploration of Clinical Research on Colorectal Cancer in the Era of Immunotherapy," keeping up with the latest medical trends; Professor Shen Wei from Wuxi People's Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University discussed "Surgical Treatment Strategies for Inflammatory Bowel Disease," providing new ideas for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease; and Professor Sun Kang from Jiangsu University Affiliated Hospital shared valuable clinical experience with the topic "Treatment Process and Reflections on a Case of Late-Stage Ileocecal Tumor."
In addition, Professor Yang Liu from Jiangsu Cancer Hospital discussed "Application and Reflections on Electrosurgical Instruments in Robotic Right Hemicolectomy," Professor Li Xinyu from Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital Fujian Hospital explained "Laparoscopic Right Hemicolectomy Surgical Techniques," and Professor Zhou Jian from the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University shared "The Role of Diet and Nutrition in Colorectal Cancer Management," providing attendees with knowledge updates and technological advancements from various perspectives.
