[Scivita Medical] Participate in Medica Exhibition Dusseldorf

Medica Exhibition Dusseldorf is the world-famous comprehensive medical exhibition, and generally recognized as the largest hospital and medical device exhibition in the world, standing in the world leading position in the medical trade fair with its irreplaceable scale and influence. Every year, over 3600 companies from more than 130 countries and regions participate in the exhibition, 51% of which come from outside Germany, and total exhibition area is up to 108,000 m2.

On November 18, Scivita Medical appeared on the Booth 10 of main exhibition hall of Medica with its 4K ultra-high-definition endoscopic system, 3D imaging device and disposable endoscope.

—INSIGHT 4K3D endoscope system

After the development of laparoscopic surgery for more than 30 years, its hardware and facilities have achieved constant progress. The resolution of laparoscope has developed from initial standard resolution to HD full high-definition, then to current 4K high-definition laparoscope. The improvement of resolution has also constantly changed the mode of laparoscopic surgery. 3D imaging technology has been widely used in the surgical laparoscope and robotic field. Compared with traditional 2D laparoscope, 3D imaging has the characteristics, such as 3D sense and operation depth with surgical perspective.

Is there a system that can combine the advantages of 4K and 3D technologies? Insight 4K3D endoscope system newly marketed by Scivita Medical can realize perfect fusion of the technologies.

In the four-day demonstration, 4K3D endoscope system initiated by Scivita Medical attracted many visitors. The professional audience fully experienced the fine and vivid 4K images through 55’ 4K display for medical use, and then worn 3D glasses to watch 4K3D screen. They usually could not help producing the amazing voices. They expressed the recognition and affirmation on innovative functions of this system, such as wide dynamic range (WDR), blood vessel enhancement (COLOR ENH), and smoke removal (SMOKE), and believed that these were helpful for surgical and clinical use.

Wide dynamic range (WDR) can reduce the brightness of the overexposed image area, enhance the brightness of the dark area in image, so that the overall brightness is uniform; blood vessel enhancement (COLOR ENH) involves the processing with specific color signals, to highlight blood vessel shape and position, so that the operator can accurately evade the blood vessels during the operation; smoke removal (SMOKE) involves the signal processing of the images within the scope of smoke, thus weakening the influence of smoke and guaranteeing normal surgical observation.
